Devio CR-1/SCR-20/25 with Devio DTM-1 Table Microphone Mounting

Tabletop Mounting (no tools required)

  1. Remove the mounting plate from the bottom of the DTM-1 microphone.

  2. Attach the Cat-5 cable to the RJ-45 port inside the underside of the microphone.

  3. Remove the tab on the side of the mounting plate to feed the Cat-5 cable out the side opening.

  4. Feed the Cat-5 cable out the side opening.

  5. Replace the mounting plate onto the bottom of the DTM-1 microphone.

  6. Set the microphone on the table and route the cable over the table or through a wiring feed-through to the base unit.

  7. Attach the DTM-1 microphone connector into the RJ-45 socket on the back of the base unit.

Attached Tabletop Mounting

  1. Remove the mounting plate from the bottom of the DTM-1 microphone.

  2. Remove the tab on the side of the mounting plate to feed the Cat-5 cable out the side opening.

  3. Attach the mounting plate to the tabletop with the three included screws.

  4. Attach the Cat-5 cable to the RJ-45 port inside the underside of the microphone.

  5. Feed the Cat-5 cable out the side opening.

  6. Place the microphone onto the mounting plate and click into place with the larger hole aligned with the Biamp logo on the side of the microphone top.

  7. Set the microphone on the table and route the cable over the table or through a wiring feed-through to the base unit.

  8. Attach the DTM-1 microphone connector into the RJ-45 socket on the back of the base unit.

Through Tabletop Mounting

  1. Remove the mounting plate from the bottom of the DTM-1 microphone.

  2. Attach the mounting plate to the tabletop with the three included screws.

  3. Drill a hole through the table surface big enough to feed the Cat-5 cable through.

  4. Attach the Cat-5 cable to the RJ-45 port inside the underside of the microphone.

  5. Feed the Cat-5 cable through the hole in the table.

  6. Place the microphone onto the mounting plate and click into place with the larger hole aligned with the Biamp logo on the side of the microphone top.

  7. Attach the DTM-1 microphone connector into the RJ-45 socket on the back of the base unit.

Devio CR-1/SCR-20/25 with Devio DCM-1 Ceiling Microphone Installation

  1. Select a location for the microphone that puts it above the center of the meeting room table.

  2. The DCM-1 plenum box is designed to be mounted on a ceiling tile (requires a 7/8 inch or 22 mm hole) or, in rooms without a drop ceiling, to a beam or using a junction box.

  3. Remove the plenum box lid and mount the plenum box in the selected location.

  4. Feed the DCM-1 pendant mic cable and bushing into the plenum box, and secure using the lock nut.

  5. Connect the pendant mic cable to the plenum box board.

  6. String the seismic cable through the hole on the side of the plenum box, and secure to an eye bolt using the seismic cable tensioner.

  7. Reattach the plenum box lid.

  8. Lastly, pinch the pendant microphone height adjustment assembly to complete the installation.

Devio SCR-20/25 with Parlé TTM-XEX Tabletop Microphone Mounting

Tabletop Mounting (no tools required)

  1. Set the microphone on the table and route the cable over the table or through a wiring feed-through to the network box.

  2. Attach the TTM-XEX microphone connector into the RJ-45 socket on the face of the Devio SCR-20 or SCR-25.

Tabletop Mounting with Grommet Option

  1. Cut a 5/8 inch (16 mm) hole through the tabletop where the cable is to be routed.

  2. Set the TTM-XEX microphone on the table and run the cable through the hole.

  3. Snap the two grommet pieces together around the cable and install in the hole.

  4. Attach the microphone connector into the RJ-45 socket on the back of the Devio SCR-20 or SCR-25.

    CAUTION: If removing the grommet, use a punch or other appropriate tool and push the grommet out from beneath the table to avoid damaging the table surface.

Through Tabletop with Secure Mount Option*

  1. Cut a 5/8 inch (16 mm) hole through the tabletop where the microphone is to be located.

  2. Place Secure Mount stem onto the bottom of the microphone making sure the slots are aligned and attach with included screws.

  3. Pull the microphone cord out of the slot on the microphone and push it into the opening on the stem of the Secure Mount.

  4. Feed the cable through the hole in the table.

  5. Install the stem through the hole in the table.

  6. Secure the microphone mount with the retaining hardware (slotted nut) on the underside of the table.

  7. Attach the microphone connector into the RJ-45 socket on the face of the Devio SCR-20 or SCR-25.

Devio SCR-20/25 with Parlé TCM-XEX Ceiling Microphone Installation

Above Ceiling Tile Install Option

  1. Remove ceiling tiles as required to access the area where the microphone is to be mounted.

  2. Cut a 1 5/16 inch (33 mm) hole through the ceiling tile where the microphone is to be located. Install the microphone mount through the hole in the tile.

  3. Secure the microphone mount with the retaining hardware (nut and washer) through the ceiling tile.

  4. Attach the microphone connector into the RJ-45 socket on the face of the Devio SCR-20 or SCR-25.

Tile Bridge Install

  1. Install the microphone mount through the holes in the ceiling and the tile bridge.

  2. Secure the microphone mount with the retaining hardware (nut) from above the ceiling tile.

Devio Setup

  1. Connect Devio to user supplied speaker using 18awg speaker cable or RCA cable.

  2. Connect Devio to one or two HDMI®-equipped displays, with the following considerations:

  1. Connect any USB video conferencing cameras to Devio via the back panel USB port (or alternatively a front panel USB port).

  2. Optionally, connect the Devio to the network via CAT-5 cable to enable remote monitoring and management.

  3. Connect the power supply to Devio.

  4. Connect the power supply to a power source.

  5. When the front panel LED Power Indicator lights green, press the Auto Setup button on the rear of the Devio.

  6. Please be quiet during Auto Setup.

  7. A series of announcements and sounds will be generated to optimize the input and output levels for room acoustics and account for placement of speaker and microphone.

  8. The LED Auto Setup Status Indicator will illuminate green when successfully completed, or red if an issue is encountered.

  9. The Devio system is now ready for use.

 

Note

The LED Microphone Status Indicator will remain off until a computer is connected to the Devio via the USB 3.0 cable, in which case it will turn green. If the LED Microphone Status Indicator is red the microphone is not fully connected.

 

  1. Using the provided USB 3.0 Type-A to Type-B cable, connect the Devio to a computer.

  2. For video, connect the Devio to computer via user-supplied HDMI cable, or alternatively enable USB Video to allow for video over USB 3.0 connection.

  3. The first connection may take a few minutes as the USB enumeration process discovers and/or installs the required drivers.

  4. Devio will appear as an Echo Cancelling Speakerphone in computer’s audio accessories, the computer’s desktop can be mirrored or extended onto HDMI displays, and other USB-connected accessories (like a camera) will be discovered and available to your computer.

  5. Connect to the Devio using the System Administration Utility (SAU) via network connection to manage or change other settings, including:

  6. Enable USB Video –check this setting to enable HDMI output over USB 3.0. This option requires DisplayLink USB Graphics Software drivers, which can be installed automatically or manually.

  7. Enable Headset Interface – check this setting to enable Devio as a speakerphone for a desk phone via headset port connection and to bridge callers directly into soft codec audio conferences. Sidetone should be disabled on the connected desk phone to avoid the introduction of echo to the call – sidetone cannot be disabled on all desk phones, please work with telephone service administrators to verify this capability.
